Back to my roots

Hey all!
So, I decided to color my hair dark because the blonde seriously thinned out my hair so much. Plus, my hair just wasn't healthy anymore. Don't get me wrong, I've seen people go blonde and have THE DRIEST hair in the world, but mine wasn't dry at all. My hair was still pretty shiny, soft and felt healthy...it just got really thin. I also got a trim, too, and it instantly looked and felt healthy! It's definitely going to take a bit getting used to, but after all...I was born with dark brown hair.

(Wear All "Zena" Coat, Fashion Nova "Britney" Bodysuit, AA Riding Pants, Nike Huarache, ZeroUV Sunnies)

I love coats like these because you can wear them with almost any type of outfit, whether it be dressed up or dressed down. The only problem is, I'm short and I wish they had like an X-Small for me because I'm sure this coat isn't supposed to be this long...petite problems.

I finally got some Huaraches. I couldn't get a pair last year because I was busy with school, so I slept. A few years ago, I've always said that I wish Nike would make Huaraches in my size and they finally did last year and I slept. So I waited for a restock or for a sick pair and so I browsed on Blends and found these. I love the leather detail on these...this shoe is beautiful! Stay curious for more looks...I'm busy studying for the NCLEX-RN, so the blog life will be a little slow this month. Wish me luck!

Camel Coat Series: Fit One

So the thing about this blazer/coat...you NEED this as a staple in your closet! Not only is it great for the cold weather, but it's great for both casual and dressy looks. I got it at Forever 21 last year, I believe. This look is definitely on the casual side. Obviously, the kicks dress it down, but you can dress this look up with a nice pair of strappy heels or a cute pair of booties. You know me, I have to incorporate my kicks once in a while...

I'm baaaaaack!!!!
I'm officially done with nursing school and I graduate on Friday! I'm so glad that's over and done with...now all I have to worry about is studying for the boards. But I'm back to shooting outfits again! I've planned out a bunch of fits and a new concept to my shoots with the help of my team. So stay curious because this is just one of many! I even plan to shoot more lookbook videos.

Back to School :(

(AMI Clubwear Dress, Vans Old Skool, ZeroUV Sunnies)

Well, It's quite bittersweet for me...I started school again. But hey! It's my last semester of nursing school if all goes as planned. Pray for me, y'all! I'm almost to the finish line. Just gotta finish nursing school off strong. Follow me on snapchat to keep up with me on the daily. I won't be posting as much because you know how busy I get with school.

Yet another delicious package from MacarOn Café. They sent me a variety of different flavors. I really liked the peanut butter & jelly one. I have never seen anyone do a PB&J macaroon before, so I thought that was really cute! Of course, I loved every flavor in the box. Thank you, MacarOn Café once again!

Dream on, Dreamer

(Pepper Mayo Crop Top, Levi's Cut-Offs, Vans Sk8-Hi, ZeroUV Sunnies)

Happy Monday!
It's a nice day out today, so I thought I'd just drop this look here today since the day we shot this was a hot ass, sunny day. Here's an outfit that can't get any simpler than this. Perfect lazy/easy and casual outfit for hot ass summer days where you don't even give a fuck what you wear but you're a street style blogger so you have to be decent...lol! I should've shot this at the beach instead of some railroad track. This is actually meant to be worn out when you live at the beach or if you're just walking at the pier or something. Since I moved closer to the beach, I've found myself dressing so "beachy" lately. It's kind of relieving because you don't have to try as hard. As I'm getting older, so is my style...I'm becoming more and more laid back with my clothes now. I used to try so hard with them headwraps and trying to be extra "swaggy." That's how you know I was immature in style...I was still trying to find myself. Anyway, enjoy your Monday!

No Color, No Problem

(Tobi A Step Above Shift Dress, Vans Sk8-Hi Platforms)

Here's a simple, comfortable look perfect for the hot weather this summer. No bra required! I love how simple this dress is, yet, you can dress it down with your favorite pair of sneakers or dress it up with some sandals or heels. I tend to pick pieces that you can dress down or dress up. There's a tip for you when you go out shopping. I used to buy clothes just because it was trendy or it looked cute...but only for the moment. My mom would always tell me that I buy things that are "faddy," meaning it was only in for the moment. Well...as I'm getting older, I'm starting to realize that she was right. Now, when I go shopping, I pick staples. I only pick things that I know are timeless pieces...which explains why my closet consists of mostly black, gray and white (and denim). I barely have any color. I'm still looking for timeless colored pieces. We'll see. Hope you all enjoy this look! This dress is from Shop Tobi's newest collection called Space Oddity. Be sure to check it out!

California Dreamin'

(Dream On Cropped Jumper, Runaway Shorts - Poppyfield, ZeroUV Sunnies)

Hope everyone's enjoying their summer, because I sure am! Follow me on Snapchat to keep up with me this summer. I've made an effort to be active every single day this summer. So far, I've been hiking on the weekends with my boyfriend, running every evening, going to the gym, rock climbing, shooting everywhere and anywhere. I'm just trying to do it all! Not to mention, I recently moved into a beach house so I can run at the beach everyday, BBQ on my deck and lay out on the beach anytime (which I did recently and happened to fall asleep for two hours and got dark as fuck!). But it's such a fun place to live. I'm so excited! Kap and I recently ran a mile on the beach and ran to this awesome little surfer mexican restaurant spot down the street from my house, it was fun! I can get used to this beach life. It's funny because I've lived in Huntington Beach for about 3 years now, but I lived on the Harbour and rarely ever went to the beach. The Harbour life was different because the beach only about a couple miles away but it was kind of a ways (walking distance) from where we lived. You couldn't walk to the beach. If you did, you'd be walking a long time. You could walk to the harbour beach, but it isn't the same as the beach-beach (if that makes sense...). I only paddle boarded in the summer time only a few times and kayaked, too, around Huntington Harbour. But now, I literally live on the beach. I just have to step out my front door and I'm on the beach! I love it! I plan to shoot a lot on the beach, since its essentially a private beach for the complex that I live in, it's pretty cool. I have to take advantage of an empty beach!

I'm pretty sad that I only have a month left of summer, but after all, this will be my very last semester of nursing school if all goes well. I'll shoot as much as I can before my summer break is over, so that I'll have posts to schedule while I'm back in school.

Slip-On

(Top Shop Slip Dress, Nike Slip-ons, ZeroUV Sunnies)

Happy Sunday!
I hope all is well. I'm feeling a little under the weather in this beautiful summer weather. I've been sick with a bad cold ever since I got back from my Vegas trip last weekend. This week I was just recovering all week long and I just so happened to get sick, too. It was the worst. Now, I'm recovering from this sickness...oh, and I forgot to mention I moved into my new place. I moved from living on an island in Huntington Harbour to living on the beach in a beach house. Exciting! I can run on the beach every morning now. As soon as I get better and when I'm all settled in, I plan to enjoy the beach everyday for the rest of the summer.

Stay curious for a room tour type post! I'm decorating/settling into my new room at the moment. Who knew I'd have so much stuff?! My room is coming together, though, slowly but surely. Can't wait to show you guys!

Average Cat Clothing

(Average Cat Clothing Abstract Hood, American Apparel Easy Jean, Vans Old Skool)

CuriouserLia x Average Cat Clothing.
Check out Average Cat Clothing. A clean-cut street brand from down under, Australia. I recently got contacted by Van from the brand to do a blog collab and usually, I'm really picky with working with certain brands, but Average Cat Clothing caught my eye. Their clothes fit my style and I dig their outerwear. Although it is about to be Summer here in Cali, it's about to be Winter there in Australia. So you Californians, check out their outerwear and stock up now for Winter because when it hits winter here, it'll be Summer over there.

This hoodie caught my eye because of the cool pattern. I dig how this hoodie looks. Easy to wear with Vans or even Chicago 1's, Bred 1's or Black Cement 3's (for you shoe heads out there). I could see a lot of people from here wearing this hoodie, whether you're a chic or a dude. Check them out!
