Simplicity is Bliss

I was contacted by Sim Ha from Public Desire about a collaboration with them. Prior to getting that email, I discovered their Instagram and immediately followed them because their shoes looked so cool and I could totally see myself rocking every pair they have on there. So when Sim contacted me about collaborating with them, of course I was so excited! They sent me these white heels and a different black boot. If you follow me on Instagram, I took a picture of the two pairs I received as soon as I got them in the mail.

I decided to wear it to match my style. If you follow me on instagram, you would've seen that I actually wore an identical outfit but with AA Riding Pants and Nike Air Max 90s. I decided to wear that same outfit but with these heels to switch it up a bit. As Kanye says in 'Murder to Excellence', "Now ain't nothin' new but your shoes."

I enjoy mixing up outfits. I don't like to be too girly, so I always like to throw in some tom boy in my outfits. Whether it be rockin' a snapback/beanie, or swaggin' in my J's or Timbs or even borrowing some of my boyfriend's clothes and incorporating them into my looks. I love mixing girly and boy clothes. That's just me. This outfit is actually a perfect example of that.

As for the comfort and fit of these heels, they fit PERFECTLY! They are also very comfortable because they're platform. They're a lot like my Jeffrey Campbell Scully's except its open toe and open back so there's much more air for my feet. These shoes also come in black and other various colors. Check out the website, seriously! They have awesome shoes! I am going to do another look with the other black boot platforms they sent me called the 'ZIA.' Stay curious for that!

Blood on the Leaves

(Brandy Melville Dress, Vans sk8-hi Platform)

This was my outfit on Tuesday. Jordan and I found a park in Torrance after lunch and found this cute area with this arch. The park was small and had a whole bunch of trees, but the sun was shining in this area, so we decided to shoot here. Believe it or not, this was shot with my new Iphone 5S. I didn't have my usual Canon Rebel XS handy with me.

My 22nd birthday is tomorrow! Wow, this year flew by...Stay curious for more posts this summer! Comment below and let me know what kind of Summer outfits you'd like to see.

Comfortable

(Brandy Melville Hoodie, American Rag Floral Shorts, Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane)

FINALLY got my hands on a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane's!!!! I've posted about wanting them last year, but I never built up the courage to spend $200. Thank goodness to Karmaloop's 40% off sale, plus FREE SHIPPING! It was like a sign from the shoe gods and I couldn't pass up that chance, so I bought it last Wednesday night when my direct deposit kicked in to my bank account.

Earlier this week, I had to get the flu shot and since then, I've been sick. I wanted to wear the Coltrane's all dressed up and glamorous, but I just wasn't feelin' it so I decided to put together a comfortable, girly, "Brandy Melville"-ish fit. Plus, Coltrane's make the perfect everyday shoe, so why not rock them with a wearable outfit. Hope you all enjoy this look. I plan to wear my Coltrane's to the Murs show I'm attending tomorrow, so #staycurious for that outfit. I will post it before the show!

Back-to-School/Southern California Fall Look Book

Outfit One:
DIY Cropped Pocket Tee
American Apparel Easy Jean
Jeffrey Campbell Pointe
WESC Leopard Letterman Jacket

In Southern California, Fall is pretty much still summer because it still gets pretty warm. So I've put together a sort-of summer transition into fall look where the crop top is "summer-y" and the pants and jacket are very "fall." It makes a great back-to-school outfit because it's very comfortable to wear all day…well, maybe not the shoes. For school, you can switch up the shoes with a pair of vans, chucks, or JC platform sneakers.

Outfit Two:
UNIF Bundy Jumper
Obey Mens Cardigan
Nike Air Force Ones

Again, this outfit is a transition from summer to fall. The jumper is definitely meant for when the weather gets warm/hot, but when it does get a little breezy or chilly, throw on a loose cardigan to give that fall look.

Outfit Three:
Cheap Monday Bomber Jacket
H&M Tank Top
American Apparel Easy Jean
Nike "Speckle" Roshes

This outfit is more for when Southern Cali starts to get a little more cold. A bomber jacket will definitely keep you warm when it gets pretty windy in the fall. Then, when it gets a little warm in the middle of the day, the outfit looks good without it. This would make a great back-to-school look as well!

Outfit Four:
H&M Jumper
American Apparel Circle Skirt
Jeffrey Campbell "Cat Tapestry" Platform Sneakers

Perfect fall look for the bi-polar SoCal weather in the fall. Gets chilly and hot at the same time. A nice knit jumper over a circle skirt and a pair of sneakers makes for another great back-to-school look. Very laid-back with a girly and boyish touch.

Outfit Five:
Brandy Melville "Anastasia" Halter
H&M Leather Jacket
Vintage BONGO Jeans
Jeffrey Campbell Soirée

A classic "cool" Cali look. Very laid back and SO "California." Another transition outfit from summer to fall. When it gets windy, throw on a leather jacket to this look and still look cool.

This is just my take on how I like to dress in the fall. I live in southern California where the weather is always beautiful. Hope these looks will inspire some of you this fall! Let me know if you like any of these looks down below in the comment box! Stay Curious, xoxo.
