Balance

Just finished finals for Med-Surg 3 so I get a little break this weekend, then I start my OB/Pediatrics rotation on Monday...ahh, the life of a nursing student. On the bright side, the Holidays are coming up, right? Anyway, here's a little fun look I put together featuring one of my favorite J's and a custom made top by one of my good IG friends, Cassie aka SlimJawn. It also came with matching underwear, as well. I'll put together a 90s look featuring those soon.

I don't know if you guys have noticed yet, but I love wearing kicks with feminine pieces like midi skirts and midi dresses. I love to create outfits with a balance between feminine pieces and masculine pieces. Most of the masculine pieces are my kicks like all my J's, running shoes, etc. and most of my feminine pieces are my clothes. If I do end up wearing heels, then my actual outfit will include boy clothes like a jacket, jersey, tee, etc. I don't like to be too girly, it's just not me...maybe for Vegas or a wedding, but as for my personal everyday style, I love to balance out a girly look with kicks a boy would wear. Does that make sense?

(Slim Jawn Top, ASOS Skirt, Air Jordan Royal 1's, 80s Purple Sunnies)

Hope you all enjoy this look! I had fun putting it together...you guys don't know how many times I changed before I decided I wanted to wear this midi skirt. I was going to wear boyfriend jeans with this but you know how I like to balance things out...that would've been too much on the tomboy side.

This is my free weekend so you know I'll be shooting all weekend for my blog. Stay posted for more looks coming!

Never too girly

(American Apparel Crop Top, Forever 21 Skirt, Black and Red Jordan 1's)

Happy 22nd Birthday to my patient boyfriend who always takes pictures of me for my blog. I love you!

Greetings, fellow followers!
I am officially on spring break! I passed two of my finals for the first two classes of the nursing program. Unfortunately, it's not truly a spring break because I have to hit the books and prepare for the next two classes of the semester, but here's a treat for ya! I wore this outfit to my finals. The secret is, to dress up and look nice on the day of your final to trick people into thinking you didn't pull an all-nighter (hahaha!).

This outfit was inspired by a little bit of 'Kimye.' I've got my form-fitting skirt on, which is something Kim always wears. Then, I decided to change up the look with some J's because "YEEZY TAUGHT ME." If you don't like the J's, you can always throw in a pair of cute black, strappy heels. Hope you all enjoy this post. I'll work on as many outfit posts as I can during this little spring break of mine.

I Live for the Funk, I Die for the Funk

(H&M Leather Jacket, AA Crop Tank, ShopAkira Pants, "Black Cement" Jordan 3's)

I've been into "sweatpants" lately...I purchased a pair of leather ones from Urban Outfitters which I will do a look with soon, then Shop Akira asked me to choose something off their site and I chose these. I like these kind of pants because they look so chill with my Jordans and even strappy heels. Let me know what you think?

Jordan 1's and Dungarees...

(UNIF Bundy Jumper, Jordan Chicago 1s, Jordan Cement 4s)

I feel great today! Way better than I did yesterday. If you follow me on Twitter, I talked about how I was on a 24 hour Juice Detox where all I drank were 6 different juices throughout the day with no food. I was starving!!!! I felt like I was going to die (lol...) I love food too much. The detox really did work, though. I mean, it literally cleaned everything out of me. Sorry if that's TMI. If you have questions or would like to try the juicing detox, email me at curiouserlia@hotmail.com.

So today, I was so happy to eat! Went to the OC Fair with Jordan and had a blast! Hope you all enjoy our outfits today. I've missed my J's, so we both decided to rock one of our many pairs today. Follow me on vine, instagram and twitter for more photos: @curiouserlia

All my J's get a whole wall in my room

Finally! I did a photo shoot showing my shoe cubby full of all my J's (Jeffrey's and Jordan's). The only side of my room that is presentable for y'all. I'll work on fixing up my desk/vanity and my huge closet very soon. For a start, here is my famous shoe cubby you've all been emailing me to present to y'all! Of course I had to be in these pictures wearing one of my newest additions to the collection...the Royal 1's.

Anyway, I got this cubby/bookshelf from IKEA and it's supposed to be used for books. I don't have that many books to store...so why not put all my shoes in there?! Perfect idea (haha!). Up top, I have all my Jeffrey Campbell heels and one Prabal Gurung pair of heels I recently bought. The rest of the shelves hold all SIXTEEN pairs of Jordans I own...and I'm still waiting on a few more release dates to buy more. The 4th shelf, third row only holds 1 of my jordan's, the bottom two boxes has my Nike Roshes and my UNIF Hellbounds. I have another shoe rack near my door but it just has my everyday "bummy" shoes. For example, my combat boots, Timberland's, sandals, etc. The very bottom row of the bookshelf cubby (not pictured) consists of baskets filled with Basket #1.) my underwear lol Basket #2.) miscellaneous things Basket #3.) School/Office Supplies and the last bottom shelf holds my vintage Louis Vuitton Speedy.

My bed is from IKEA as well. My mom bought me my white down-feather comforter and I bought my all-white sheet set and pillows from Target. My bed is a queen size but honestly I feel like it's a little bigger than a queen lol. Well anyway, this is just 1/4 of my room...the rest of my room isn't ready for pictures yet but stay curious! I'll show you guys my closet and vanity space soon! I promise!

Happy 4th Anniversary to us!

Happy Anniversary to my boyfriend and I! It's been 4 wonderful years together. My first love, my baby, my babester, my boobear, my high school sweetheart, my world, my everything. We celebrated all day yesterday because we both had school today. He took me out to this cool little waffle restaurant called "Bruxie" and it wasn't your typical waffle place. They had waffle sandwiches and the waffles aren't sweet. They act as the bread to the sandwich. I ordered the egg and hash waffle sandwich and Jordan ordered the club turkey sandwich with waffle fries. Both sandwiches were sooooo yummy. Then we ordered creme brulee (pictured on my instagram)...oh my gosh! HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH! It was so delicious. My mouth was seriously watering. Then we went to Disneyland & California Adventure (because yes, we are annual pass holders). For dinner, I took him out to this Shabu Shabu place in Huntington Beach and it was amazing! Overall, it was a wonderful day spent with my love. I appreciate everything he does for me and I love everything we do together. High school sweethearts. Can't believe it's been this long. I'm thankful and blessed to have this strong relationship with Jordan. We've been through almost everything together and we've still got a long way to go. I can't see myself without him, seriously. I love you, Jordan, so very much! Happy Anniversary, my love!

Weekend in L.A.

(DIY Crop Tank, American Apparel Shorts, Roxy Flannel, Air Jordan Black & Gold 1's)

Spent my weekend in L.A. and I must say it was well-needed. Actually, I'm pretty much in L.A. like every weekend but I actually spent the night at my pop's house because it's been a while. I went to a kickback in Carson (my old hometown) and caught up with a few old friends from high school. It was fun, I needed that. If you follow me on Instagram and Twitter you've probably seen pictures. Then yesterday I went up to the Hollywood sign with my boyfriend. Sadly, we couldn't hike up above the sign because the gate was locked and it said "No hiking." Boo! I don't know how people have gone to the top, though...If you know, comment below! Enjoy this look with my J's. I'm in the middle of moving so I won't be able to post new things for a while since school is starting soon as well. Xoxo, CuriouserLia.
